Selling Bucking Bulls & Partnerships

January 4th, 2010 1 comment

Today’s bucking bull breeders are finding it quite expensive, due to the number of bucking bulls they are competing against, to run a successful bucking bull program. Consequently, you will find many of the bucking bull breeders offering their prospective bucking bulls for sale.

Bucking cattle breeders, with an impressive crop of prospective futurity bucking bulls, will, quite often, offer some of these calves for sale. A buyer can purchase 100% of the calf and take it home to his ranch or farm and maintain it himself. Gaining a lot of prominence also today is the availability of 50% partnerships. These 50% partnerships are unique because they are being structured in such a manner that allows someone, who wants to own PBR bucking bulls,  to own them without actually having to own a ranch, a pick-up, a trailer, or know the first thing about raising bucking bulls.  They just need to have the dream and pent up passion to be a part of pro rodeo  and PBR bull riding.  You can use your imagination to structure a 50% partnership agreement to fit your own situation. Most partnerships allow for the bucking bull breeders to maintain care, custody, and control of the animal in return for a cash payment of an agreed amount from the other partner. The new partner would normally agree to pay all entry fees for the American Bucking Bulls, National Bucking Bull Association or open events. Winnings and other income generated by a calf sold in this type of cattle sale are normally split in half. Other partnerships may be structured differently by requiring a little less cash payment but requiring a little more participation by the passive partner in the expenses of campaigning the calf in competition. Fun At PBR Bull Riding & NFR World Finals

January 3rd, 2010 No comments

For those of you out there who are into watching bulls bucking  and have been looking for a reason to take a vacation to Las Vegas, then, you really should go out their for the national finals rodeo, better known as the NFR at Christmas time in December, or I like the professional bull riding world finals of the PBR at the end of October each year. Of course, I’m a little partial, but I just like the caliber of the PBR bucking bulls.

The main thing is that the PBR bull riding events are really exciting. We are cattle breeders, mainly PBR bulls, and so we get a tremendous kick out of seeing all the famous bucking bulls we have bred to and have calves on the ground from already.

Lastly, it is always a great opportunity to compare notes with other bucking bull breeders with whom you may have done business with over the past year or to meet new cattle breeders.  So folks, if you haven’t done it yet, you are in for a great time if you’ll get out to Vegas this year and visit the national finals rodeo or my choice, the professional bull riding of the PBR.
